In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I come from a very musical family and I've sang in school choirs, church choirs you name it since a very early age. I remember singing and dancing to Michael Jackson's 'BAD' right from the ripe age of 7. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Justin Timberlake, Justified Michael Jackson, Bad The Weeknd, Echoes Of Silence (Original) BAD by MJ had timeless songs like Liberian Girl and Man in the Mirror that I literally sang since I was a kid. Justified by JT shaped my teenage years and Echoes of Silence by The Weekend changed music - literally changed my perception of music. Westbrooke)” This song means a great deal to me because I wrote these lyrics over 20 years ago - whilst in high-school and this summer I was very fortunate to collaborate with a Miami based Dominican born artist - @westbrookemusic. Perfect timeless summer vibe! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Growing up, my dad never encouraged me to pursue music. He literally thought it was a waste of time. I went back to Lagos in 2023 to perform live on TV. He told me afterwards he watched my interview and he was very proud of me. Meant the world to me. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Nothing beats live performances so I'd love to perform in front of thousands of live people at a major festival or concert like Coachella.
