About Steve McGrady

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is from when I was no more than 3 or 4 years old. I wanted my grandmother to keep playing a recording of "Old Time Religion" by a Glaswegian skiffle band called the Clyde Valley Stompers on a 78rpm radiogram. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, Desire The Clash, Sandinista! Wilco, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot What a difficult choice - I love so many. Desire was the first album that broadened my tastes from the rock albums I had liked at school then Sandinista, which wasn't well received at the time, covered so many bases and I couldn't forget Wilco. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Citizen of Nowhere (feat. Susy Wall)” I love this one - it was the first time I had used an open tuning (E major) so it sounded different to my earlier songs and inspired me to try something new lyrically as well. It gets the best reaction when I play live and I love Susy's harmonies.
