About Starsailor

Continuing the lineage of Travis, Coldplay, and other anthemic pop/rock bands, indie rock quartet Starsailor feature James Walsh (vocals/guitar), James Stelfox (bass), Ben Byrne (drums), and Barry Westhead (keyboards). Their debut single, "Fever," earned them critical accolades in February 2001, while second single "Good Souls" hit the Top 20 and follow-up "Alcoholic" placed in the Top Ten. Starsailor's debut album, Love Is Here, arrived in September 2001 to much fanfare. Released in 2004, sophomore album Silence Is Easy achieved gold status but didn't match the success of Starsailor's debut, a problem shared by 2006's On the Outside. Starsailor continued onward, partnering with Virgin Records and enlisting the help of Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood for their next album, 2009's All the Plans. ~ Simon P. Ward
