In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad Johan taught me to play piano at the age of 3, laying a strong foundation for a music career. Getting inspiration from beatmakers such as J Dilla & Flying Lotus growing up, I started integrating this foundation into crafting jazz hiphop beats. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bill Evans Trio, Portrait in Jazz Flying Lotus, Cosmogramma Kiefer, Happysad These albums still form a massive inspiration for writing my own writing process. Bill Evans gave me the peace of jazz, Flying Lotus the electronic abstract touch and Kiefer the colorful melodies & chord progressions. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Possums & Popcorn” I wrote this song shortly after I proposed to my wife. After going to the movies that day, we brought a bucket of leftover popcorn to the park where I proposed at night. During the proposal possums came down from the trees to try & steal the popcorn. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Working with Marvel Studios on a project for Disneyland Paris called "Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel". I was asked to reinterpret the famous theme songs from their original movies, and Stan Forebify the heck out of it! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Releasing music through my own record label & facilitating other likeminded artists on the platform to help grow their music careers.
