In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing the piano at my babysitter's house. I was playing all the notes top and bottom with no particular cohesion, but I remember enjoying the variety and selection of notes at my disposal What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Mac DeMarco, Another One Phoebe Bridgers, Stranger in the Alps Tame Impala, Lonerism I love the songwriting on these albums, the sonic landscape, the feelings of melancholy and optimism. They remind me of my early twenties when I listened to these artists a lot Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pencil in Regret” A very early song mind. It captures a certain melancholy of being in your early twenties without a plan. Writing this on guitar and ultimately recording a full version was very fulfilling What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I played a song called Sushi Samba recently. It contains barely and lyrics and the lead vocal is mostly in falsetto. The crowd loved it. It made me realise that there really are no rules to music Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Many things. Play a sold out gig. Play the Alexandra Palace in London.
