About Samara Lubelski
Violinist, singer, and songwriter Samara Lubelski has performed with a number of indie rock and folk bands around the New York City area, including Hall of Fame and Jackie-O Motherfucker, but her most complete artistic statements exist in the form of her solo albums. Lubelski’s indie pop is wispy and web-like, nodding to both classic 1960’s psychedelia and 21st-century freak folk aesthetics. FLEETING SKIES, her 2004 solo debut, announced her blend of shimmering guitars, heady keys, and breathy vocals. This was followed by IN THE VALLEY and SPECTACULAR OF PASSAGES in 2005, and by PARALLEL SUNS in 2007. Lubelski has also been involved with engineering albums by artists such as Ted Leo and the Fiery Furnaces.
