About Rhys Lewis
Pop singer Rhys Lewis quickly found an audience when he emerged in the mid-2010s with a soulful, expressive voice and poignant songs. • Lewis began playing guitar at 13 and started singing after joining his older brother’s band a few years later. • After studying for three years at the London Center Of Contemporary Music, Lewis signed with Decca Records in 2016. He then scrapped all but one of the retro-soul demos that had helped him land the record deal. “I knew it wasn’t who I really was,” Lewis has said. • Lewis released his debut album, Things I Chose to Remember, in April 2020. • He sings on Norwegian DJ Kygo’s track “Hurting”, which cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
