Sitting in the backseat, as a little bitty girl, Mom driving, watching the moon out the window and thinking it was following our car, singing at the top of my lungs to Cyndi Lauper’s At Last album. That album really shaped the way that I hear music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Cyndi Lauper, At Last Norah Jones, ...Little Broken Hearts The Killers, Hot Fuss Cyndi's At Last was my first favorite album. It's exquisite sorcery. I grew up on The Killers music. My favorite band. Forever in awe of Hot Fuss. I think Norah's Little Broken Hearts is underrated. It's gloriously weird, raw and wonderful. Tell us why you chose this song. “Gathering Dust” Gathering Dust tells 3 stories of different women living on the same street, experiencing different transitional life phases. It has echoes of the feelings of isolation of the past few years. It’s emotional, took forever to write and I'm proud of it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? At age 10, I went to a live radio taping of The Little Willies (Norah Jones’ band). I ended up on stage, singing a line of one of Norah's songs to her. After the show, she said “I hope to hear you again someday." That inspired me to start my career.
