"Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" ignited my journey to self-love, "J. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ferrari” Ferrari is that open letter I always aspired to write myself. It inspires me to know and realize my worth and I hope it does the same for everyone who needs the message. It is the anthem of assertiveness and boss energy. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I completely fell in love with Afrobeats on vacation in Ghana during Spring 2021. The rhythms and syncopation of the beats have a unique way of communicating to the body. The wide range of subgenres it encompasses inspires such creativity. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So so much! I aspire to meet my heroes and icons– the boundary pushers and those who redefined the odds such as Ms. Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, Ye and many other iconic storytellers.
