In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first artist that really stood out to us was Leo Sayer. Polyvoda’s theoretical classes (beyond the studio work) are usually held with a glass of wine and a few vinyls, and Leo is still on our radar. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Childish Gambino, "Awaken, My Love!" Faith No More, King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime MGMT, Oracular Spectacular These three albums hold a special place in our hearts. They were our companions as we sat by the fireplace, sipping wine, and shaping the essence of Polyvoda, all while in the company of our soulmates. Tell us why you chose this song. “Never Ending” During our toughest winter, as Kyiv endured missile attacks, our song "Never Ending" was born in a studio that doubled as a bomb shelter. This song encapsulates the memories and hopes that sustained us. Amidst the uncertainty, we played and prayed. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? With our former bands, we've had unforgettable experiences, from collaborating with "Boombox" at LA FABRIQUE in France to playing with David Gilmour. Each moment has shaped our sound of newly created Polyvoda. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Our goals with Polyvoda? To craft a soundtrack for a top arthouse film, win an international music award, and sustainably live off this project, staying inspired to move forward together.
