About Paul Fricker
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. It all started in the 80s, when I was creating mix tapes for family road trips and by 1996, I had bought turntables and vinyl. Back then it was all acid house and even though I had no idea what I was doing, I knew I loved it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Boy George, Pete Tong, Ministry of Sound: The Annual II - Mixed by Pete Tong & Boy George (DJ Mix) Josh Wink, Higher State of Consciousness - Single Todd Terry, Ready for a New Day The Annual II was the first ever album I owned & Ready for a New Day was the first album I bought on vinyl, I didn't know what house music was, Todd showed me what I needed to know! After I first heard 'Higher State', my life was never the same. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Not Too Late (feat. DJ Frix)” This was my first ever release, your first is always the most special. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing at the Ministry of Sound is an experience like no other. It’s the most famous club in the world, and nothing beats performing there. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I only have one thing left to tick off from my list, to be on BBC Radio 1.
