In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. We remember coming out of lock-down and listening to the stupid amount of songs Ste had written and recorded. When we started working on them they sounded mint. We created a raw, honest, punk-infused sound that became One Dimensional Creatures. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? IDLES, Brutalism Nirvana, Bleach Deluxe Edition Queens of the Stone Age, Songs for the Deaf *Bleach is a raw beast of recording mastery that should be heard by all. *When SFTD came we blasting it out driving round the tops near Manchester. *We instantly connected with the left-wing political lyrics & powerful droning guitars of Brutalism. We loved using tones of guitar FX pedals to creature the shimmer reverb and feedback cloud that explodes into the wall of distorted fuzzed-up grungy guitars. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Listening back to Media Mass after all the writing, recording, mixing, and mastering work was finished. We couldn't believe the sound we made, it sounded big, raw, and grungy. We were mega excited to get out their and play it to people. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The bucket list never ends, we want to keep writing raw, honest, punky music which focus on equality. We want to play big festivals like Glastonbury, Leeds/Reading, Isle of White... We'd also love to go on a proper tour to different countries.
