Here they had music on written by French composer: Camille Saint-Saens. It may sound odd, but after hearing this music I knew: I want to be a classical violinist! Beethoven: Complete Sonatas For Piano & Violin / Isabelle Faust, Alexander Melnikov Schubert: Lieder / Barbara Bonney, Geoffrey Parsons Gewandhausorchester, Jessye Norman, Kurt Masur, Strauss, R.: Four Last Songs; 6 Orchestral Songs The way Jessye Norman sings the four last songs of R.Strauss gets me every time again and made me love this music from the first time I heard it. Then the beautiful songs of Schubert, sung by Barbara Bonney is an album I hear at least once a week.
