In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical detail was when I was a toddler. I would not eat unless there was music playing on the radio or television. I watched Top 40 countdowns so much, that I learnt to count from 40 to 1 before I could even count at all! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alina Baraz, Galimatias, Urban Flora Bonobo, Migration Sungha Jung, Sungha Jung Cover Compilation 2 These albums taught me the importance of passion, discipline, lyricism and emotions. The reason I started making music is because of the sense of relief I felt from these artistic masterpieces. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “A Far Off Land” I made this tune while being extremely happy and inspired: I was able to finally pursue my music full-time and go after the passion I fought for my whole life. The tune evokes serenity, peace, and optimism and transports me back to that moment. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I once sent a Japanese lady free tabs so she could learn her favourite song. We met up in Tokyo a year after showing me around and treating me to a dinner with her friends, she gifted me a handmade coconut ukulele as thanks. I will never forget that! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to be in the opportunity to meet the artists that inspired me, share good vibes, and laugh.
