About Muff Potter

One of Germany's more potent alternative rock bands, Muff Potter began in the early '90s as a typical punk band, yet evolved quickly, ultimately securing major-label backing from Universal in the mid-2000s. The band's self-titled debut appeared in 1996 and was followed by Schrei, Wenn Du Brennst in 1997. In 2000, another full-length, Bordsteinkantengeschichten, followed, as did the vinyl-only 7" Potthoff EP. 2005's Von Wegen was the band's first to chart, breaking into the German Top 100. Moreover, the single "Alles Was Ich Brauch" charted as well (at number 88). The successive Muff Potter album, Steady Fremdkörper (2007), proved even more popular, charting in the Top 40 and spawning the hit single "Fotoautomat." ~ Jason Birchmeier
