About Mike Moss

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to Led Zeppelin II for the first time. I was 14 years old and completely unprepared. Whole Lotta Love charged from the speakers like a war cry and the feeling it mustered within me was quite simply life changing - I was hooked. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? George Harrison, Cloud Nine Remastered Paul Simon, Graceland U2, The Joshua Tree Remastered Three incredible albums from some of the worlds biggest names in music. Gold dust and magic abounds here. The songwriting, the energy, the harmony, the lyrical wizadry all drew me in from an early age, shaping me into the artist I am today. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Madiba (Unforgotten Edit)” With the rhythmic flavours of Massive Attack, the sonic prowess of bands like Arcade Fire and U2, and the ethereal beauty of the Soweto Gospel Choir, this is my anthemic tribute to the late, great Nelson Mandela and a track I am hugely proud of. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I remember playing a show at Rockwood Music Hall, in New York City. A cool, glass fronted venue on the Lower Eastside. Although it was early on in my career, the crowd was amazing and gave a huge welcome to a nervous English boy on foreign soil. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to perform my track Madiba with the Soweto Gospel Choir - that would be a thrill. I’d love to sing a duet with Bono - I can dream right? And I’d love to perform a show at Madison Square Garden….shoot for the stars I say!
