About Meilyr Jones

Multi-instrumentalist Meilyr Jones is a Welsh singer and songwriter specializing in a whimsical brand of chamber pop. He co-founded the psych-pop-leaning Race Horses (originally called Radio Luxembourg) as a teenager in Aberystwyth in 2005. Singing in both Welsh and English, he served as their lead vocalist for Diwrnod Efo'r Anifeiliaid (2007), Goodbye Falkenberg (2010), and Furniture (2012). In the meantime, Jones spent three years at the Royal Academy of Music before dropping out, and assisted some of his compatriot musicians, including appearing on Cate Le Bon's Cyrk and joining Neon Neon's touring band. Stimulated by a 2013 trip to Rome, his debut solo album, 2013 (2016), was released via Moshi Moshi Records. ~ Marcy Donelson
