About Loredana Errore

Loredana Errore is an Italian singer/songwriter who rose to fame as a finalist on the reality television show Amici di Maria De Filippi in 2009 prior to making her commercial recording debut the following year with the Top Five smash hit single "Ragazza Occhi Cielo." Born on October 27, 1984, in Bucharest, Romania, she hails from Agrigento, Sicily, Italy, and graduated from the University of Catania in 2005. During the 2000s she competed in numerous singing competitions such as the Festival of Naples and the National Academy of Sanremo Song, and she often fared well in these competitions. Errore's big break came in 2009, however, when she was selected to compete on the ninth season of the reality television show Amici di Maria De Filippi. Once again she fared well, finishing runner-up behind winner Emma Marrone and rising to national fame in the process. Errore's second-place finish on Amici di Maria De Filippi led to a recording contract with Sony Music. She made her commercial recording debut soon afterward with Ragazza Occhi Cielo (2010), an eight-track EP featuring productions by Biagio Antonacci and Michele Canova. Featuring the Top Five smash hit title track, Ragazza Occhi Cielo was a Top Five hit on the Italian albums chart. ~ Jason Birchmeier
