In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I had several musical experiences as a child, but one of my fondest was being on the radio in my hometown as a high school freshman. I was the youngest in my group, but my presence alone filled the room with excitement. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Locked In” After three years in prison, I recorded that song. My drive and perspective changed, and I wanted music more than ever and had much to prove. I was going to hate the song, but everyone enjoyed it and gravitated toward it. I came here because of that. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Signing with Ubk was special because they treat me like family. From a little town like Lufkin, Texas, it was exciting, and I was the first in my region to do it, which felt amazing. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As an artist, the only remaining item on my bucket list is to obtain a major award.
