About Leslie Jordan

There wasn't much that Leslie Jordan didn't do over the course of a career that went back to the ’80s. The actor and recording artist, who died in October 2022, had been all over TV, movies and the stage, an LGBTQ icon who also became a viral sensation for his hilarious social-media presence. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1955, Jordan was best known for his work on TV series like Will and Grace and American Horror Story, but he appeared in a dizzying array of other shows as well as numerous films including Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. He showed off some serious singing chops on his 2021 country-gospel debut album, Company’s Comin’, aided by all-star guests including Dolly Parton, Eddie Vedder, Brandi Carlile and Tanya Tucker. He also hosted Hunker Down Radio With Leslie Jordan on Apple Music Country.
