About Katastroof
Renowned for their anarchic, sarcastic, and satirical take on social and political issues, Flemish trio Katastroof, aka Jos Smos, Zjuul Krapuul, and Stef Bef, formed in Antwerp in 1977. Fusing folk with reggae, rap, and rock & roll, they scored hits with a string of protest and drinking songs including "Ikkekannekik," "Zuipen," and "Met de Wijven Niks at Last" throughout the next three decades, and in 2012, they celebrated their 35th anniversary with a chart-topping joint compilation with De Strangers. ~ Jon O'Brien
