I fell in love with music at the age of five, lying flat on the floor, just outside Belfast, with an old set of (loud) Rotel headphones on, completely immersed in a smorgasbord of vinyl. Tangerine Dream & Vangelis, Bach to early Genesis. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Anna Meredith, Fibs Battles, La Di Da Di Clark, Playground In A Lake I love the intersection of genres in these works. Post-minimalism in Clark, loops and glitches in Battles and the magical freedom with detail and complexity in Anna Meredith. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nautilus” Meredith uses the instruments in ways that no one else has yet - she breaks the rules, creating both sonic and harmonic washes that challenge and delight the ear. She plays with genre expectations, regular pulses suggest a groove that never comes. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I have many great memories, but one highlight worth mentioning was playing at a jazz festival 9 hours outside Istanbul. No one spoke English, we played on a hillside and the next day joined an impromptu wedding party, complete with gunshots! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Our new album, 'Inhale' is releasing in November. I really want to bring this album to festivals and venues in 2023!
