In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I would write songs to soothe myself as a kid and I still do! My music is the way I sort my head out! My first song was about Christmas (a big deal for a 5 year old!) and my second unrequited love (heart broken at 13!). What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ella Fitzgerald, Nelson Riddle, Ella Fitzgerald Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Song Book (Expanded Edition) Ella is my teacher. Everything I need to know about making my voice shine, timing and jazz styling is there in her music. The other 2 are Pastel Blues by Nina Simone and Blue by Joni Mitchell. Hugo Fattoruso & Andres Lafone)” It's a journey through Uruguay! I wanted to write a song with the energy and excitement of travel and a sense of place. Uruguay is the home of Candombe and this song is an homage to the drum, the rhythm and the place!
