In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember writing my first song. It was called the "Devil is Busy." I started out writing to some beats my friend Donnie Ramsey created back when we thought we were Epic Records. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jkabel, Collective Thoughts Jkabel, Rhythm & Bible Jkabel, The Gospel According to Jkabel I chose The Gospel According to JKABEL, because it was my first re-attempt at blending R&B with gospel. Collective Thoughts was a second, and more contemporary approach, and I felt comfortable. Rhythm and Bible tied it all together. Tell us why you chose this song. “Holy” This song is special because it was inspired by a sermon I had heard the morning before I recorded it. The lyrics came like a flowing river. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Probably, my first show I produced myself. Was nervous and anxious almost quit, but I fought through the hurdles and it was a success. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would have to say, performing my original music, live on a big stage. With an artist that I admire.
