About Jeffrey Hayday

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Tubular Bells, by the British musician Mike Oldfield. I wore out the vinyl on my dad’s record player. I thought the comment written on the sleeve was cool. “This stereo record cannot be played on old tin boxes no matter what they are fitted with.” What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Deacon Blue, Raintown Jon & Vangelis, The Friends of Mr Cairo Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon Remastered These distinctive sounds transports me back to Art College in the 1980’s. Concept albums have always appealed to me. Story telling at its best invoking feelings and where silences are just as important as the music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Endless” Endless from the studio album Discrete Emotions. My daughter sings the word “Harmony” during the same week she was diagnosed with ASD. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing guitar at the Torpoint Celtic Beer Festival over two days with my post punk band in May 2009. Headliners were Bad Manners and Aswad. The weather wasn't kind but the audience were awesome. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would like to continue to explore music genres, fusing them to my own style.
