Formed by multi-instrumentalist Jay Clark from indie rockers Pretty Girls Make Graves, and bassist/guitarist Cody Votolato and vocalist Johnny Whitney from post-hardcore outfit the Blood Brothers, Jaguar Love makes intense, eclectic music. Formed when Pretty Girls and the Blood Brothers toured together, the members began working on a sound that blended a variety of influences, including punk, post-rock, glam, metal, and show tunes, defined by Whitney’s extreme, high-pitched singing. The group signed to Matador and released an EP in early 2008. Their debut full-length, TAKE ME TO THE SEA, appeared later that year.
