In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was in the car with my Dad and being teased with one song from his compilation of The Highwaymen. Well, when he was at work the next day, I decided to scale his CD tower and...well, that went about as well as you'd expect. I found the CD, though! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Charley Crockett, The Man from Waco John Prine, John Prine Luke Bell, Luke Bell When I sat down to really think about what I wanted to say, these were the three albums I had on repeat as I struggled on the floor with my guitar and a half-empty songbook. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Family Guns” Alot of folks' first experience of Country & Western is the hyper-stylised Spaghetti-Western movie, and ever since I saw my first one as a kid, I wondered what it would be to conjure up that imagery in a song of my own - and I finally got to do it! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2023, I released my debut record, which came about as a total surprise considering I originally set out to record 'a song or two'! That, and in the same year, supporting the amazing Willi Carlisle around the Netherlands, England and Scotland. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Oh there's plenty, and I doubt that'll ever change. I'm the kind of person who ticks one thing off and then adds something else. Touring the US is a dream, as well as performing with some of my favourite acts. Then there's album number two...three...
