In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember when I listened to my first contemporary music. I only used to listen to gospel music, until I was 16. A friend called Shaquille played Jidena’s helicopters to me. That’s when I fell in love with a broader and more diverse kind of music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Ocean, Blonde Khalid, American Teen Wizkid, Made In Lagos MLE because it was an introduction to what afrobeat can be aside it’s typical sound. Blonde made me believe music is from the heart, and can be made however the heart wants it. American Teen; I love the composition. It’s brilliant, I wish I made it. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Forever” I wrote this song when I was lonely. It took 30 minutes to make this. I met the producer at a music camp months before. He loved my music immediately. He invited me one day, and this beautiful song was made. It makes everyone happy, even my Mom. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I got my own home studio. My manager got me a studio setup in January 2023. I was so excited I stayed up all night trying to make music. Now I can produce to an extent. It has made me love creating music even more. I can now make people happy. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want everyone in the world to hear my voice and message. It’s a big dream, but that’s what dreams are.
