A punishing death metal unit from southern California, Inherit Disease was founded in Ventura in 2002 with the intent to deliver the most "brutal, technical, original, and dissonant" version of the genre possible. The band spent their first two years honing their skills on-stage, eventually issuing a pair of demos that drew the interest of Los Osos-based indie Unique Leader Records. After inking a deal with the label, Inherit Disease released their full-length debut, 2006's Procreating an Apocalypse. Visceral Transcendence arrived in 2010, and in 2016, the band issued their third studio long player, Ephemeral, again via Unique Leader. ~ James Christopher Monger
