About illion

Leader of Japanese alt-rock band Radwimps, illion (Yojiro Noda) was inspired to pick up the guitar by his love of Oasis. ∙ Both of his solo albums—2013’s Ubu and 2016’s P.Y.L—have reached the Top 10 in Japan. ∙ The dreamy, hip-hop-infused “Hilight,” from P.Y.L, included a feature from popular Japanese rapper 5lack. ∙ Noda made his acting debut in the 2015 film Toilet No Pieta and has appeared in several movies and television series since. ∙ “Oaiku,” a dreamy track from Hanaregumi’s hit 2015 album, What Are You Looking For, was written by Noda. ∙ In 2016, he produced the emotional ballad “Choucho Musubi,” a Top 10 hit for J-pop singer Aimer. ∙ illion’s piano-driven 2017 single “BANKA” was featured as the theme song of the horror film Tokyo Ghoul.
