Hyro the Hero picks up where rap/metal pioneers like Rage Against the Machine and Korn left off, shouting bombastic and energetic flows over tight punk and metal grooves. Hyro got his start when he relocated from his home base of Houston, Texas, to Los Angeles in 2007. After several mixtapes (under the name Hyro da Hero before slightly altering the moniker), he released the 2011 album Birth, School, Work, Death and toured internationally in support of the release. It would be seven years before he followed it up with second LP Flagged Channel in 2018, and third album Bound for Glory followed on the Better Noise label in 2023.
