About Hinako Omori

London-raised Hinako Omori is a classically trained pianist who experiments with synths, treated vocals, and field recordings to create rich, rolling, sonic landscapes. Her initial steps into the music industry were made on tours and with session work for the likes of Ellie Goulding, KT Tunstall, and James Bay. In 2019, she issued a synth-drenched, instrumental debut solo single, "Voyage," and her first EP, Auraelia, a more intense offering incorporating deep tones and mangled voices, was themed around the side effects and altered vision that can accompany migraines. For the next few years, she issued comparatively tranquil, meditative singles in collaboration with the new age artist Clare Uchima, before London's Houndstooth issued her debut solo album, a journey… in 2022, comprised of recordings made as part of 2020's WOMAD at Home festival.
