Blake Mills, Blake Mills Stereolab, Emperor Tomato Ketchup (Expanded Edition) The Clash, Sandinista! They're all great, not necessarily all-time favourites as y'know as "subjects" we are multiple and constantly in flux. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cave Paintings” I love how intimately this recording was captured. Guitar and vocal in one take sitting on the floor in the studio I think. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Supporting the Shins in Auckland. I'd first seen James Mercer play a solo unamplified acoustic set in our hometown Dunedin knowing not much about them and his strange lyrics and the power of his voice really set me on a path. I still feel it now.
