In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I had a Dansette record player in my bedroom and played my mother's 1960s copies of The Beatles Rubber Soul and With The Beatles albums a lot. This fueled my desire to learn guitar. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ashra, Blackouts Jon Hopkins, Singularity The Beatles, The Beatles (The White Album) I love these albums as a fan and musician. It's music that inspires me, the benchmark I strive for. All are timeless and never boring. Blackouts is unusual, less well known and I love the multi-layered guitars and dreamy soundscape. Tell us why you chose this song. “Rough Diamond” I strive for a naturalistic sound, raw guitars with few effects – though I also like epic soundtrack music. However, Rough Diamond was improvised, quick to record with little editing.
