After Billie Ray Martin left Electribe 101 for a studio career, her ex-bandmates formed the Groove Corporation. Composed of studio engineers, the trio occasionally recruits vocalists (such as dub star Bim Sherman for the "Ghetto Prayer" single) but usually explores ambient-soul on their own. 1995's Co-operation is available on Birmingham, England's Network label; Dub Plates from the Elephant House followed five years later. ~ John Bush
