Korean-German pianist Gina Alice Redlinger is best known as the wife of superstar Lang Lang, which unfortunately tends to overshadow her own considerable gifts. Born in 1994 in Wiesbaden, she began piano at the age of four, studying at the Frankfurt Academy of Music and Performing Arts and graduating from the Hamburg University of Music. Aged eight, she performed Haydn's Keyboard Concerto No. 11 in D Major at a Steinway concert. She appeared on national television at the age of 13, gave her debut solo recital at 15, and went on to play several times with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Gina met Lang Lang in Berlin while in her early twenties; they were married in 2019 in Paris. Her debut album, Wonderworld, released by Deutsche Grammophon in 2022, contained relaxing music including Western and Chinese classical, jazz, film score pieces, and traditional Korean lullabies.
