Violinist Elena Urioste is well known as a soloist and as a chamber music collaborator with various players, including her husband, pianist Tom Poster. She is a co-founder of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective. Urioste took top prizes in the junior and senior Sphinx Competition, and that led to a debut at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2004 and to the release of an album on the White Pine label in 2008. In 2009, Urioste took up yoga, and she established a program called Intermission that combines practice in music, yoga, and meditation. In 2020, Urioste issued To the Spring, an album of Grieg's violin sonatas. That year, Urioste and Poster launched the #UriPosteJukebox online series, winning the Royal Philharmonic Society's Inspiration Award and spawning a recording, The Jukebox Album, released in 2021.
