Easy Star All-Stars

About Easy Star All-Stars

The accomplished reggae musicians in New York City's Easy Star All-Stars (including Victor Axelrod, aka "Ticklah," who also plays keyboards in the Afro-beat band Antibalas) have created high-concept entertainment that transcends gimmick through the sheer power of the music. Simply put, the band records and performs dub and reggae versions of popular rock albums, providing an entree into reggae for curious pop fans, and vice-versa. To date, they have recorded textured, compelling covers of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and Radiohead's OK Computer, and have played to capacity crowds all over the country.
