About DMA'S
Australian indie-rock trio DMA’S was formed in 2012 by vocalist Tommy O’Dell, guitarist Matt Mason, and acoustic guitarist Johnny Took. ∙ O’Dell and Took had played in various bands, including Underlights, when the three friends started recording demos in Took’s bedroom studio. ∙ DMA’S Platinum-selling debut, “Delete,” was named by Rolling Stone Australia on its list of 2014’s top singles. ∙ In 2016, the video for their acoustic, in-studio cover of Cher’s “Believe,” recorded for Australian radio station Triple J, racked up more than 9 million views. ∙ Moving in a more lush pop direction, they worked with producer Stuart Price (The Killers, Madonna, Dua Lipa) for 2020’s The Glow, which went Top 10 in multiple countries. ∙ Tracks from The Glow have received the remix treatment from dance music veterans Orbital (“Life Is a Game of Changing”) and The Avalanches (“Criminals”).
