A pop-driven hard rock and alternative act from Minneapolis, City of the Weak developed a strong grassroots following through hard touring and tightly crafted independent releases like 2013's White Fire Alarm EP and 2018's full-length Pulling Teeth. Formed in 2012 by vocalist Stef w/ an F and guitarist Brent Lindblad, City of the Weak shuffled through a handful of lineups over their first several years, producing the self-released EPs White Fire Alarm (2013) and Disclosure (2014) while managing a heavy touring schedule. As their profile increased with appearances at South by Southwest, Chicago Open Air, Northern Invasion, and the Vans Warped Tour, City of the Weak continued to hone their aggressive but tuneful songs, issuing the 2016 single "Censor This," followed a year later by "Ungrateful." Both songs appeared on the band's full-length debut Pulling Teeth in June 2018. ~ Timothy Monger
