About Christy Crowl
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My grandmother sang and played the organ. She had a Hammond organ in her living room, and I would sit beside her while she played, and would try to mimic her.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Kansas, Leftoverture (Expanded Edition)
Queen, A Night at the Opera
Styx, Paradise Theatre
Styx, Kansas, Queen, The Eagles, The Cars, Led Zeppelin (70s bands) inspired me to want to figure out how to play their songs on the piano. I would listen for hours, and play along in my living room as I went. All of their music still holds up today!

“I See Light”
I See Light was the first song I wrote on my very first album. Soon after I wrote it, I played it for a ceremony where I was the Music Director, and someone who heard it invited me to be a guest artist for the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
