About Christopher Glynn

Pianist Christopher Glynn is widely noted as an accompanist who has worked with some of the world's top instrumentalists, including violinist Daniel Hope and clarinetist Julian Bliss, and singers such as Roderick Williams and Felicity Lott. Glynn has a flourishing solo career, became the artistic director of the Ryedale Festival in 2010, and is a professor at the Royal College of Music. For a time, he served as the accompanist for The Sixteen and has performed in countries around the world. Glynn has participated as an accompanist on several noted recordings, beginning with The Shepherd on the Rock. He joined a variety of prominent singers on Songs by Donald Swann, and he backed Williams on the first of a pair of recordings devoted to English translations of Schubert songs. In 2021, Glynn joined violinist Rachel Podger on an album of completed fragments of violin-and-piano works by Mozart.
