Balancing intimate acoustic fare and downtempo electronic pop, singer and songwriter Charlie Houston focuses on the relatable everyday struggles of early adulthood. While addressing topics like mental health, sexual identity, and heartbreak on her debut EP, 2021's I Hate Spring, she deliberately avoided using third-person pronouns in her lyrics. She had a breakout hit a year later with a guest spot on ODESZA's "Wide Awake," which she followed with her second EP, Bad Posture.
