In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. During my teens, I was obsessed with listening analytically to each song I loved. I listened for hours, playing a song over and over again, straining to isolate and understand each part of the arrangement and why I loved it so much. Great training. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Boston, Boston Journey, Journey: Greatest Hits Kansas, Leftoverture (Remastered) I have an incredible soundtrack collection at home for the film and video game OST music I love to listen to. But when it's time to return to my early roots, these three albums on Apple Music are my favs. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ages of the Golden Wood” Fabulous performances on the harp, voice, and string section really stand out. They create an atmosphere of magic with a sweet sadness that faithfully captures the essence of Galadriel in Lothlorien. Tolkien fans especially will understand. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was conducting the symphony world premier of “Theme for Rohan”, from The Lord of the Rings Online. Toward the end of the piece, when the French horns in joined the violins for the concluding motif, the climax was spectacular! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I retired from composing in 2022. Didn't touch my music system for 3 years. Done forever (so I thought). But a new idea popped up recently, wild and crazy. My new bucket list item is to pull this new thing off in a HUGE way. Stay tuned...!
