My earliest musical memory is sitting on the edge of a pew on a Sunday morning waiting to perform my first classical piece on piano for our little church in Boulder City, NV. Ella Fitzgerald, Cheek to Cheek: The Very Best of Ella Fitzgerald Eva Cassidy, The Best of Eva Cassidy Sting, Fields of Gold - The Best of Sting (1984-1994) Anything by Ella is a favorite! This woman's phrasing is impeccable. Eva Cassidy is also a master of blues phrasing with impassioned singing that is so powerful. Sting's musicality is incredible and his lyrics are creative genius! I was just about to begin surgery, chemo & radiation for breast cancer and this song reminded me to embrace my story and to trust the One who is the ultimate Author of my story.
