About Carlos Cipa
∙ Carlos Cipa, a classically trained pianist who also played drums in punk bands, was inspired by the wide-ranging musical explorations of classical composer Ludovico Einaudi.
∙ In 2019, Cipa got his first big break when “And She Was” was featured in a national ad campaign that sent viewers scrambling to find out the song’s title and performer.
∙ Shunning the classical convention of using only top-shelf instruments, he played everything from a dusty upright to a C-Model Steinway on Correlations (on 11 pianos).
∙ His music has been featured on such Apple Music playlists as Meditation Moments, Melancholy Piano, and Classical Edge.
∙ The Munich native has collaborated outside his genre with members of experimental jazz quintet Fazer in the supergroup Runden.
∙ At the 2106 Haldern Pop Festival, he was a rare instrumental act among more mainstream singers, such as Sam Smith and Hozier.
