About Cardiacs

Eccentric U.K. outfit the Cardiacs were formed by brothers Tim and Jim Smith in 1978. The Cardiacs bypassed the traditional music business route by releasing a series of cassette-only albums, and slowly built a devoted live following with their oddball performances. By 1988, the Cardiacs had even glimpsed the mainstream, reaching number 80 on the U.K. singles chart with the epic "This Is The Life." Its parent album, the fabulously titled A LITTLE MAN AND A HOUSE AND THE WHOLE WORLD WINDOW, went on to become a cult classic. Long-time fans Blur invited the band to appear at their Mile End Stadium concert in 1995, helping to introduce the band to a younger new audience.
