About Blackboxx

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The most potent, maybe not most recent was discovering burials untrue album. I remember thinking I had never heard anything like this before.. I think I had a preconceived notion of what electronic music was, I had no idea it could be that emotional. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Björk, Homogenic Burial, Untrue Miles Davis, Sketches of Spain These albums all inspired me in different ways. From Burials beautiful vocal sampling and atmospheric textures to Bjork's thought provoking lyrics, they've all played a huge part in the way I think about making music and approach making songs. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “A Haunting (Macondo)” I remember making this song so vividly. It was just after I'd moved to Vancouver and I rented a six string bass out. After coming back from a weekend in Seattle I sat down and this riff came out really naturally. It still takes me back to that time.
