In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Townes Van Zandt held a lot of my attention when I was starting out as a songwriter. Specifically live recordings. The mix of a jokester storyteller and somber heart-wrenching songspinner...that's the good stuff. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Queen, Queen: Greatest Hits The Wood Brothers, The Muse Townes Van Zandt, Townes Van Zandt Queen was the first CD I ever got my hands on. I knew those greatest hits front to back. Townes and The Wood Brothers set me on a path to finding my personal sound. I love everything they both have. Tell us why you chose this song. “Company” This song was one I wrote for my family, telling them no matter what happens, good bad, loss gain, it shall pass and I'm here for them. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time I heard people singing along. That isn't a feeling you forget as a songwriter. That's something special, a connection that is completely one of a kind. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To have one of my songs played at Red Rocks. The outdoors are where I am when not making music, and that's one of the most beautiful natural stages I've seen.
