Beach Baby specialize in melodic indie rock with a post-punk flavor. The group was born from an ad placed by co-songwriters/singers/guitarists Lawrence Pumfrey and Ollie Pash at Goldsmiths, part of the University of London. They added bass player Iraklis Theocharopoulos and drummer Shep Hodgson to the lineup. The reflective "Ladybird," their 2015 debut single, was licensed for the Netflix series Flaked. The band was soon a hot ticket in local venues and signed with Island. They went on to play festivals throughout England and at New York City's CMJ, and released the new wavy Limousine EP later in 2015. Its four tracks made it onto their full-length debut, No Mind No Money, issued in 2016. ~ Marcy Donelson
